Shelter founder and workers ri.sk their lives to care for over 1000 Dogs & 300 Cats at Ukrainian animal shelter

Some call them “cr.azy” to stay behind, but most people see them as heroes…!❤️

They take their role as a protector to animals very seriously. They are true heroes. 🙏🏻❤️❤️

Tamara Tarnawska, a former journalist turned animal shelter founder, is [ri.sking] her life to feed and care for over 1000 dogs and 300 cats at her animal shelter, SOS Animal Shelter, in Kiev.

Tamara has devoted most of her life to saving animals and won’t [a.ban.don] them now when they need her the most. She is joined by three shelter workers who have decided to remain behind to help look after all the dogs and cats.

Everyone is hungry and afraid, but help is on the way.

At the moment many new animals are arriving at the shelter, as some people fl.eeing Ukraine cannot or do not want to take their animals with them.

When the situation is resolved or calmer, Tamara will need a lot of [mo.ney] to pay for cat and dog food, [to p.ay ve.terinary expe.nses] for the care of animals in.ju.red during this [w.ar] and for necessary repairs.

Animal welfare organizations in Ukraine and other countries are helping by sending [fin.ancial aid] and much-needed pet food.

Large bags of pet food were recently delivered to the shelter.

These people are the very definition of “Heroes” – No question. Even if some people don’t think so. ALL of the animals that these brave people are taking care of do.❤️

They are wonderful caring people also very brave, pray they and the animals all stay safe and aid gets through to them🙏

They are just as important as humans. Somebody as devoted to animals, as they obviously are, will never leave their babies. They will try to protect them. Love these kinds of people .❤️❤️❤️

We pray that they all stay safe and continue their work when this is over…!🙏🙏🙏
