The two canine BFFs Peat and Barley (aptly named by their whiskey connoisseur mom) celebrated National Dog Day with other doggos and human friends at Woodinville’s Northwest Spirits distillery. According to Peat and Barley, “Oh, paw-lease every day is National Dog Day and today we just happen to have a special pooch party!”

All the dogs looked fetching and had a ball at the special Bark & Bourbon event while their human families had a great time sipping on whiskey and craft cocktails. There was a lot of drooling going on around all the charcuteries and a few snacks might have snuck into the mouths of some good boys and girls. The celebration was a howling good time for everyone!

Northlake Tavern is reopening as Big Mario’s Northlake Tavern this month

National Dog Day was founded in 2004 and celebrates all breeds – mixed and pure, and it helps raise awareness about dogs in need of rescue. It’s a great day for dog lovers to get together to celebrate our canine family and support animal rescue organizations.

Peat and Barley loved sniffing out all the scents at the distillery. Northwest Spirits loves dogs and is always dog-friendly. Every first Sunday of the month, they have a “Bark & Bourbon” event, and it is one of the best places in Woodinville to enjoy a day with your 4-legged family. The distillery offers spirit flights, great cocktails, and delicious fare from their sister restaurant next door, Von’s 1000 Spirits.

Join us in celebrating National Dog Day by giving a few extra hugs to your favorite pupper. Yip Yip Hooray to our best fur friends as they chomp on a few extra much-deserved treats this day.
