Extremely Rare, 1 In 100,000, Black Barn Owl
Barn owls are very common and may even favorite owls, but there is a species that is really special.
A genetic mutation known as melanism is actually responsible for this appearance of these owls.
Often in the wild, such owls do not survive because they are different, so their mothers reject them.
If they survived, these owls would be attacked by other owls.
Since owls are night hunters, it is very difficult to notice them at all then.
As far as is known, there are no more than three black owls in United Kingdom.
Manarin is the owner of the black owl and she says that the real art is their survival precisely because of their diversity. Black barn owls are mostly a little smaller than other barn owls. It can happen that these owls have problems with their hearing, and this is sometimes the case with their vision.
